Hi—I’m John.
I’m the photographer behind Argueta Photo, and I document weddings in a way that feels natural, calm, and real.
Before photography, I spent 15 years as an educator and Academic Director. That experience still shapes how I work today—I know how to read a room, connect with different personalities, and help people feel comfortable without forcing anything. On a wedding day, that matters more than anything.
I got serious about photography in 2006 when my son was born. Over time, what started as something personal turned into a full-time career. I’ve photographed everything from red carpets, live events, and large productions—including work with brands like Disney—to quiet, intimate moments.
But weddings have a different kind of energy—personal, emotional, and completely unique to the people in them.
My approach is simple: stay present, stay calm, and keep the day moving without adding pressure. I’m comfortable giving direction when it’s needed, helping couples look their best without making things feel staged or awkward.
And when timelines shift or things get a little chaotic—as they sometimes do—I stay focused and keep things on track so you don’t have to think about it.
Couples often tell me they felt at ease having me there—like I was part of the day, keeping things flowing, while still capturing everything that mattered. That’s always the goal.
At the end of the day, it’s not about me—it’s about you, your people, and the moments you’ll want to remember years from now.
If this feels like the right fit, reach out and tell me a bit about your day—I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
